A native of Canada, Laura is a former professional dancer with more than 25 years experience before she moved onto teaching. Highlights of her dance history including two years with the Toronto Argonauts football team and the Toronto Raptors basketball teams, six years as a dancer and director for Norwegian Cruise Lines; performing with multiple renowned New York City dance companies; choreographing alongside Michael Kubala and Mic Thompson; and starring in productions 42nd Street, Grease, and Sesame Street Live.
Laura’s students have gone on to many university dance programs as well as performing professionally on Cruise Lines, at Disney World, on National Tours and for professional sports teams. She received her B.F.A from York University with honors in Dance and her Masters degree in Communications from Austin Peay State University.
She purchased ACSD in 2012 upon the retirement of founder Ann Carroll, Laura’s former mother-in-law.
Katey is a proud Ann Carroll School of Dance alumna, taking dance since the age of 4 at the Grassland location. While at ACSD she was a competitive dancer for 10 years and an original member of Platinum, our pre-professional track. She has since trained at Broadway Dance Center, Hubbard Street, Randolph Performing Arts Center in Canada, Alvin Ailey and at many conventions and workshops.
As a teacher Katey has further developed the tap syllabus that has been a long standing, proud tradition here that has led to her winning awards for her choreography.
Katey has experience working with all ages and prides herself on being well-versed in all styles of dance.

Jeanne began her dancing career at the age of 3 spending the next 15 years training at the Dixie Splawn School of Dance in ballet, tap and jazz before attending the University of Arkansas where she performed for 4 years with the dancing and singing show choir “The Uarkettes”. She graduated with a B.A. in Vocal Performance.
Her stage experience includes the national tour of A Christmas Carol, Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Six Flags Over Texas, and Gaslight Dinner Theater in Tulsa where she starred in Scarpetta, Two by Two, The Littlest Mermaid and The Last of the Red Hot Lovers.
Jeanne has done many industrials for Gary Musik Productions including acts opening for George Burns, Bob Hope, Ray Charles and George Bush Sr. She has been with ACSD since 1997.

Cailin grew up dancing at Ann Carroll School of Dance before she received her B.F.A for dance at The Ohio State University. She has had the pleasure of training under Frank Hatchett, Bebe Miller, Brandon Whited, Martha Nichols, Jacob Jonas and Company, Jermaine Spivey, Tillman O’Donnell, Erica Sobol, Stacie Flood-Popp, Joy Davis, and Abby Zibokowski.
Her final senior choreographic work, From Four to Two, won the Bellamoxi Emerging Choreographer’s showcase in Chicago and her dance film Bum One was selected to present at the Nashville Film Festival.
She is the resident choreographer and movement director for Phenix Red Music for her stage events and music videos. She has had the honor of teaching at Southern Association of Dance Masters since 2018, Millennium Dance Complex, New Dialect & Centennial Arts Studios, Nashville Dance Center, Franklin Road Academy, and many studios throughout the midwest and south. She is currently pursuing dance film work and is in post production of her latest film ‘Going Down.’
